On the 17th of September 2010 this year's Talent for Governance event "How to get ahead... as a young local civil servant" will be held. Six different nationalities will be present to discuss with you the differences in their countries compared with The Netherlands.

a enthusiastic group of Dutch civil servants and other sympathizers supported Talent for Governance by partaking in the City-Pier-City sponsor run initiative. All Talent for Governance athletes completed the City-Pier-City run in The Hague and together raised almost € 1500 for the Talent for Governance scholarship fund.

From 20 September until 2 October the Talent for Governance ran its first scholarship programme . Emilia Gjeroska, Thulani Twala and Sylvia Solis Lopez attended the training course ‘How to use the power of your citizens’ the first week. Among others, they followed lectures by international experts, shared experiences from their own municipalities, visited several citizen participation projects in Dutch Municipalities like the Fathers’ centre in the Hague.
