Make a financial contribution
Do you want to invest in the education of young civil servants from developing and non-EU countries? To give them the same opportunities we have and so strengthen local governance? Then donate to Talent for Governance. With your contribution, you not only give young civil servants a chance to achieve their ambitions but you also support the sustainable and structural improvement of living conditions in their local communities.
Talent for Governance uses your donation to offer talents a scholarship to follow a training course at The Hague Academy for Local Governance. There are, however, certain conditions. Participants must have relevant working experience, for example. Their English must be fluent and they have to write a letter of motivation. They also have to explain how they are planning to share the knowledge with their colleagues after completing the course.
You can make your donation to: bank account 55.87.47.477, IBAN NL62ABNA0558747477, SWIFT/BIC nr. ABNANL2A in the name of Talent for Governance, The Hague. Or you can easily donate by clicking the Donate button on this page.
Run for Talent for Governance
Support Talent for Governance and your own health by joining in one of our charity runs! On March 14, you can partake in the famous The Hague city-pier-city run for a distance of 5, 10 or 20 (half marathon) kilometers.
Approach sponsors to support you in your effort and raise money to allow us giving scholarships to young, talented local civil servants from developing countries and non-EU Eastern European states. With the scholarships, civil servants will be able to follow a high-profile local governance training course in The Netherlands, followed by a short internship at a Dutch municipality.
On March 31, Dutch civil servants are invited to run for charity in the Veldloop Neeltje Jans. Also at this occasion, participants can support Talent for Governance by making a donation themselves or seeking sponsors.
If you raise more than € 34.99, you will also get a unique Talent for Governance running shirt to show your support to the fund.
Join the network
The online network of Talent for Governance offers civil servants from developing and transition countries the possibility to meet colleagues from other parts of the world, so that they can share knowledge and experiences and ask advice about problems and challenges.
Dutch civil servants are welcome to join the network, so that they can help others with their experience and knowledge, but also to meet the participants in real life when they visit the Netherlands for a training course. And perhaps organise an excursion, diner or sleeping accommodation for them. Besides this, civil servants can register as Star Colleagues – as a partner of a foreign colleague with the same job occupation or work field.
